BARACK Obama is alleged to have joked about killing militants with drone strikes in a controversial book about his 2012 re-election campaign.
The book, Double Down: Game Change 2012, claims that Obama bragged "I'm really good at killing people" to White House aides while discussing drone strikes, theDaily Mail reports .
Mr Obama has been the subject of much controversy surrounding his administration's use of drone strikes to target terror suspects.
The President is estimated to have ordered 326 drone strikes since entering the Oval Office in 2008, according to the Bureau of Investigative Journalism.
The book to be released this week by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann has understandably ruffled some feathers in the West Wing.
And although Mr Obama's administration has not commented on the alleged remarks, close adviser Dan Pfeiffer told the ABC network: "I haven't talked to him about this book. I haven't read it. He hasn't read it. But he hates leaks."
