Razzaq recalled for T20 series against South Africa
Pakistan has recalled all-rounder Abdul Razzaq after 13 months for next week’s two Twenty20 internationals against South Africa in Dubai.
The 33-year-old, who played his last T20 against Australia in the World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka in October 2012, has since been sidelined by the selectors.
Razzaq has scored 383 in 30 T20s at an average of 22.52 and a strike rate of 119.68. With his medium fast bowling, Razzaq has taken 20 wickets at 19.05 and an economy rate of 6.86 in T20s.
Another all-rounder, Shoaib Malik, who wasn’t part of either Pakistan’s test or one-day team against South Africa, also returns for the Twenty20s on Nov. 13 and 15.
Mohammad Hafeez will lead the side.
