Third suspect arrested in Patna blasts case
The police on Wednesday arrested a third suspect in the Patna serial blasts case from Motihari in Bihar’s East Champaran district.
The suspect has been identified as Tabish, a resident of Motihari.
Based on the inputs received from the investigating agencies, the Motihari police traced and detained him. He has been handed over to the Patna police,” the East Champaran police told The Hindu.
“We will take him on remand on Thursday,” Jayant Kant, Patna city SP said.
The police said that Tabish is a graduate in Psychology. He did his graduation from Ranchi, where he is also said to have worked with an NGO.
Though a resident of Motihari, Tabish spent of his life in Ranchi, the police said.
Other two suspects, Imtiaz Ansari and Ainul alias Tariq are also from Ranchi. The six who were named as accused in the FIRs, including alleged mastermind and Indian Mujahideen Tehseen Akhtar came to Patna from Ranchi on separate buses carrying bombs.
